• Each gourd body is carefully selected and matched with our soundboards made from your choice of padouk or lacewood. Padouk is a deep red African hardwood with a full, rich tone. Lacewood is a gold and brown wood which seems to shimmer in the light. Both are chosen for their striking beauty and sound quality.

• All models have an attached strap string with colorful beads used for wearing or displaying the Gourd Piano.

• The clearly written and illustrated instruction booklet features several songs that will have anyone playing in minutes.

• Our Gourd Pianos are available in a small 8-note or larger 12-note model. The 12-note models can be ordered with a decorative hand-cut moon and star or sunburst sound hole, in addition to the classic round shape.

• Each key is precisely cut and nickel plated for years of comfortable carefree playing. All are accurately tuned to the key of "C".
